Most buyers arrive at stainless steel racking through a failure. A coated steel bay rusts through its second winter in a wash-down room. A shelving line bolted in for a permanent installation has to come out the moment the layout changes. Or a boltless system bought for speed starts to flex under loads it was never specified for. The rack was rarely the problem. The mismatch was.
Suzhou Anskai Metal Products Co., Ltd. manufactures both bolted and boltless stainless steel racking under one roof. That single fact changes the conversation. When a factory only makes one technology, every enquiry gets bent toward it. When both sit on the same shop floor, the recommendation follows your load profile, your floor space and your expansion plan instead of the production schedule.
One Factory, Two Racking Technologies
Bolted systems are the permanent answer. Uprights, beams and bracing are fastened with mechanical connections, producing a rigid frame suited to heavy-duty storage that will not be moved once installed. Boltless systems trade a small amount of that rigidity for speed: components slot together without tools, so a bay can be assembled, re-configured, raised or dismantled by the people who work beside it.
Neither is the better product. They solve different problems. A cold store that will not change shape for a decade wants bolts. A food plant that re-plans its picking line every season wants the tool-free option. Because we build both, the specification you receive is an engineering answer, not a catalogue answer.
Matching the Alloy to the Environment
Grade selection matters more than most buyers expect, and it is where projects quietly go wrong. Two stainless grades cover the majority of industrial storage work:
SUS201 — general warehousing, ambient-temperature workshops, light and medium loads. Strong cost-performance balance, good formability and machining behaviour. This is the economy tier, and it is the correct choice wherever corrosion exposure is ordinary.
SUS304 — cold chain, cleanrooms, chemical environments, damp and high-humidity areas. Excellent corrosion resistance with higher strength. This is the standard industrial grade, and it is the one that survives wash-down routines, condensation and cleaning chemistry without staining or pitting.
Specifying SUS304 where SUS201 would do is a cost problem. Specifying SUS201 in a wet room is a corrosion problem, and it usually appears after the invoice is paid. We will tell you plainly which side of that line your facility sits on.
Where the Bolted System Earns Its Keep
Choose bolted construction when the installation is effectively permanent, when loads are heavy, and when the frame must resist impact from forklifts, pallet trucks or trolley traffic. The mechanical connections hold geometry under repeated loading, and the structure can be engineered around non-standard bay widths and heights without compromising the frame. For a distribution warehouse, a chemical store or a heavy spares room, this is the right foundation.
Where Boltless Wins
Choose boltless construction when change is part of the plan. No tools means no contractor visit for a reconfiguration, and no downtime waiting for one. Seasonal lines, promotional staging areas, growing e-commerce pick faces and pilot production cells all benefit from shelving that the operations team can move on a Tuesday afternoon. Modular assembly also means the same components can be re-deployed elsewhere rather than scrapped when a layout is retired.
Beyond Racking: Tables, Carts and Custom Stainless Fabrication
Storage is rarely the whole requirement. Our workshop also produces welded stainless work tables with flat, polished tops and square-tube legs braced at the base — surfaces that stand up to cutting, packing, inspection and wash-down duties. Mobile three-tier service carts on swivel castors, with raised guard rails on intermediate shelves, move product between process steps without a pallet truck. Open tubular frame racks with integral push bars let a fleet of loaded units travel as one. Folding platform trolleys handle the awkward, heavy, low-volume items that never fit a shelf.
All of it is fabricated in stainless, and all of it can be built to non-standard dimensions. If your process needs a shape that does not exist in a catalogue, that is a normal brief for us, not an exception.
An Owner-Operated Manufacturer, Not a Trading Desk
Anskai Metal Products is a physical manufacturing enterprise focused on storage equipment development, scheme design, production, sales and warehouse planning consultancy. The company holds its own land and operates its own standardised production facility, with the full set of processing equipment held as company assets. That means independent, end-to-end production capability rather than outsourced assembly.
An in-house technical team supports customised layout planning and full-cycle project support, from the first drawing to delivery follow-up. Production management follows a standardised quality control system, and manufacturing processes are continuously updated to improve structural design and processing technique — with the goal of durable storage metal equipment that holds up over years of service, not seasons.
Racking structures are modular and assembled without on-site welding, so they can be freely combined and dismantled, adapted to clean environments and ordinary warehouses alike, and built to non-standard sizes.
Industries We Supply
Our products are aimed squarely at food processing, biopharmaceutical, food service and cold chain, cleanroom workshops, and warehousing and logistics operations. These are the sectors where stainless is not a finish choice but a hygiene and durability requirement — and where the difference between SUS201 and SUS304 becomes visible within a year.
What to Have Ready Before You Ask for a Quote
Three inputs determine the recommendation: load per shelf and per bay, the environment (temperature, humidity, wash-down frequency, chemical exposure) and how likely the layout is to change. Bring those and the specification writes itself. Leave them vague and any supplier will default to whatever they stock. We would rather ask the questions first and quote once.
Engineering selection consultation is available at any stage — before drawings exist, before budgets are fixed, and before a single component is ordered. We are not simply selling steel.
Talk to the Factory
New and existing customers are welcome to visit the plant in person, inspect the fabrication, and discuss requirements directly with the technical team. For overseas buyers and distributors, enquiries by phone, email or the corporate website are answered with a proper engineering response.
